Its tiny size, small power requirement with low vehicle battery draw for wireless receiver and transmitting power. The camera/transmitter can even run on a 9 volt battery for hours or plug it in with the included power adapter for endless power. CMOS chip inside gives a good picture quality with excellent transmission with a 2.4 GHz transmission. This tiny camera can even transmit through a few doors and walls without loss in picture quality. Comes with a reciever/switcher which can toggle between 3 wireless signals on one screen.
