Spectra Series Surveillance Dome Systems  Pelco's Spectra Series surveillance domes have been engineered to offer the security industry an extremely responsive, high-quality, easy-to-install camera positioning system. Every Spectra system features an integral, high-performance camera and optics package, full pan/tilt positioning mechanism, and extensive receiver electronics. The end result is a small, quiet and attractive dome that offers quick 360° rotation as well as high-speed and variable-speed capabilities ranging from 250° per-second pan motion to a very smooth, "creep mode" speed of 1/2° per second. This remarkable agility, combined with Spectra's high-resolution optics package and Auto Focus technology allows for the seamless tracking of moving subjects. And when using any of Spectra's automated performance features such as Patterns, Presets, or Alarms, Spectra always responds with reliability and pinpoint accuracy.

The optics package of every Spectra dome includes either a high-resolution color or high-resolution monochrome camera. These 1/4-inch CCD cameras provide amazing picture quality, while taking up a surprisingly small amount of space. The lens section features a 12X optical and 8X electronic zoom capability, providing an effective zoom factor of 96X. In addition, every Spectra dome system offers full Auto Flip, Auto Focus and Auto Iris technologies, each with manual override.

All Spectra receivers are 100% compatible with all Pelco Coaxitron® controllers, as well as EagleVision EV-DVR Systems and all Pelco System 9750 or 9760-style controllers - including RS-422, and RS-485 protocols. Selecting the appropriate protocol for compatibility is as simple as sliding a few DIP Switches - there are no additional cards or modules to install.

The lower dome assembly includes the acrylic bubble and appropriate trim ring assembly. Bubbles are available in clear, smoked, chrome or gold mirrored models. Because the Spectra' uses a black rotating liner, the clear bubble may be used to minimize light loss while preserving a discreet appearance. When installing a Spectra ceiling-mount unit, installers first notice how the all-aluminum, plenum-rated back box is surprisingly small and easy to work with. Requiring only 5.25-inches of space above the ceiling, and only 3.25-inches below, the back box can easily be installed from the exposed side of the ceiling. An easy-access "trap" door located inside the back box provides instant access to all power, video, control and alarm terminal blocks.
